Weekly Tip #12 ~ Hands Night

Preparation:
Schedule some time this week for an uninterrupted hour for two.

You'll need a few materials to kick off "hands night." Some massage oil - the same or different scents for each of you, candles, a delectable sugar scrub or two, a portable basin, some soft music and a couple of nice soft fluffy hand towels.

The Date:
Light the candles, place warm water in the basin and place your partner's hand over the water and let the warm water drizzle onto his hands from yours. Once wet, submerse his hands and stroke them lightly with yours. Apply sugar scrub to his hands in circular motions, lingering on any spots that may need it. Remember to pay attention to individual fingers and webbing. When done, submerse his hands in the basin and gently remove sugar scrub and dry with hand towel.

If your partner wants to reciprocate dump, rinse and refill basin for part deux. If not, breakout the massage oil and working from the wrist to the finger tips, slowly massage the oil into the skin. Don't miss any spots or forget to enjoy the fruits of your labor.

All the while, talk softly or give a play by play of what you're doing and ask how it feels.

Hands and feet are the most overworked parts of the body. There is nothing more relaxing than a massage, especially when it is delivered in a relaxed atmosphere by someone who would really appreciate the feel of nice smooth hands.

Time Involved:
Most supermarkets or chain stores carry everything you'll need if you don't already have the items on hand. If shopping is needed, plan on about 30 minutes for shopping and 30 minutes per person for hand massage. The time required to enjoy the end result is up to you.

Cost:
$0 to $15-$20 depending on what items are already available and the products selected.

Follow-up:
How was the massage? Did it relax the muscles and heighten the senses? Were you so pleased you scheduled your next date?
