Weekly Tip #10 ~ Bath Night

Preparation:
Schedule a time this week when you'll have 30 uninterrupted minutes together. This is an easy date to do when your little ones go to sleep for the night.

Sometime during the week, buy some bubble bath (Ivory liquid works great and smells good if you don't have anything else). Bubble bath has a fun factor that bath salts don't have so get the bubbles!

Make sure your fluffiest towels are clean and ready for your date. For extra enjoyment, heat the towels beforehand or during your bath.

The Date:
You both can share the bath. Or, one can bathe with the other outside the tub washing the other. It's very romantic bathing together, however, it can be a special gift (and romantic!) to your mate to give him/her a bath.

Fill the tub with water at your most comfortable temperature. Add the bubble bath under the running faucet so you get lots and lots of bubbles. Set the mood in the bathroom by dimming the lights or using candles (for that extra romantic touch). Turn on your favorite mood music softly (and away from the tub - we don't want any electrocutions with this date!). Keep the music soft so you can talk if you wish. Make sure the room is warm so you don't get chilled but not too hot so that anyone becomes faint. That's definitely not romantic! Have your favorite beverage on hand to sip.

If you're bathing together, take turns washing backs, toes . . . whatever is handy to wash. Be gentle and enjoy. Talk, kiss, and relax. Enjoy the ambiance and the time together.

If one of you is bathing the other, follow the same plans . . . gently wash, rinse, talk, kiss, and relax.

Sip your beverage and take your time. If the water starts to get chilly and you're not ready to stop, open the drain to empty some of the water and top up with hot water. Have those warm fluffy towels ready to gently dry following the bath. Enjoy the relaxed state after the bath and who knows what will happen . . .

Time Involved:
Planning time is minimal. The date should take at least 30 minutes of quality uninterrupted time.

Cost:
The cost of the date is minimal unless you buy expensive drinks or bubble bath (and who needs that?).

Follow-up:
How did it go? Did you enjoy the time together? Did you keep the date? Have you scheduled time for next week? We hope so!

See you next week!
